Description
This project provides assistance to the Barakat Cooperative in the Bekaa region through the creation of the Douriss Cold Storage Unit. This facility serves as a storage and grading unit for farmers' produce which is then sold on the market.

The quality of stored produce is greatly influenced by various factors, which are: humidity, temperature, lighting and ventilation. Inadequate conditions cause the deterioration of the product’s quality. The storing techniques applied in the cold storage service delay the ripening process and avoid the risk of possible disease.

This service helps increase farmers' income by offering them the possibility to store and preserve unsold produce.
