Introduction

 

RMF's economy and development activities target mainly rural women and the war affected population.
A Business Development Center is also under construction in Tripoli to serve entrepreneurs and employees in small and medium size enterprises.

The main objectives of the projects undertaken are:

Literacy for rural women

Development and promotion of social services and capacity building of community based organizations (mainly women's associations).

Increasing employment through vocational training in sectors of high growth.

Supporting civilians in war torn areas.

In the War Relief sector:

During the July 2006 war: Relief and recovery activities

Economic Recovery Program for Women in War Affected Regions (A post 2006 war rehabilitation project)

Support to rural families affected by the 2006 war through the development of cattle raising.
