The LEAD Program
Student clubs in schools
As a part of the LEAD’s program extra-curricular activities, 132 animated clubs have been created in 70 schools in the regions of Chouf, Akkar, Tripoli and Zghorta.
The clubs organize activities for the students after their classes, offering many opportunities for learning a variety of new things and having fun.
The animators are mostly teachers from the schools, motivated to animate these clubs and hold extra-curricular activities within their schools.
The main objective of the clubs’ activities is to create a space for the students where they can learn artistic and sportive skills and contribute within the group to a personal and group development.
All the clubs receive materials and equipments from the project: musical instruments, sport equipments like football, volley and basket balls and nets, ping pong tables, sport outfits, and gardening tools etc.
Some testimonies were very touching, saying how the students enjoyed their sessions and what they intend to do in the future. Parents and directors were invited to several activities.
