The LEAD Program
Gardens in schools
As a part of the LEAD’s program extra-curricular activities, gardens have been created in 35 schools in the regions of Chouf, Akkar, Tripoli and Zghorta during the months of June and July 2008.
The gardens (in the form of big pots) are grown in the schools with the help of students and teachers. The aim is to sensibilize students towards nature and the environment, to give a nice green look for the schools, to make the target group aware of the importance of their school's environment and be ready to protect it and take care of it.
