RWIGAT's Inauguration

The RWIGAT project was launched under the auspices of the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Elias Skaff on 21st December 2004.

The speakers at the event were:

His Excellency Mr. Elias Skaff, Minister of Agriculture.
Her Excellency Mrs. Wafa Dika Hamzi, Minister of State and ex-Director of the mother project.
Mr. Fady Yarak Director of the RMF.
Ms. Yolla Ghorra, present Director of the mother project.
Mr. Louis Lahoud, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture.

150 persons attended the inauguration and the workshop that followed, among which around 54 represented cooperatives and NGOs from different Lebanese regions.

In the workshop following the inauguration ceremony, women from different cooperatives of Lebanon presented their experiences in the rural development context in general, and the management of their respective cooperatives/NGOs.
