Beneficiaries
The project targets 30 children from Bab Al Tebbaneh region enrolled in grade 4 at risk to drop out of school and enter the labor market taking into consideration gender equality. In addition, to 20 working children aged between 8 and 14 years old from the surrounding region.


Objectives
Contribute to the prevention of 30 children from public schools in Bab Al Tebbaneh from dropping out of school and entering the worst forms of child labour.
Provide a supportive environment to working children and children at risk to drop out of school.
Reduce the proportion of Child Rights breach.
Develop children's talents through recreational activities.
Establish an active environment that strengthens the Right to Play and Access to Information for working children and children at risk to drop out of school.


Activities
Remedial Classes:
There are five classes running at the same time in Bab Al Tebbaneh region precisely in the Centre for Working Children. These classes are distributed as follows: Arabic Language, French Language, Mathematics, Sciences and Homework. 30 children enrolled in grade 4 benefit from these classes following to their needs. The aim of these classes is to re- explain to the children what has been explained in their schools and not clearly understood, in addition, to helping them in doing their homework. Remedial Classes started after the first exam which means in January 2011.


Awareness Sessions:
The aim of these sessions is to highlight through an interactive approach on basic rights especially those related to education, suitable living conditions, access to information and right to play. Every enrolled child whether working or at risk to drop out benefit from these awareness sessions. The overall project covers 10 awareness sessions.

Recreational Activities:
The educational mechanism does not target only the child's cognitive level but also improving her/his skills. Thus, RMF aimed through this project to organize recreational activities for children at risk to drop out of school that can affect positively the child's learning process, in addition to working children. Thus, RMF through this project established two clubs; cultural club and technological club. The first club aims at widening the critical thinking of children and introduces them to the exterior world especially that the parents' children cannot afford the cost of extracurricular or recreational activities; these activities mainly focus on arts, accessories and handcrafts. Whereas, the technological club endeavors to introduce children to the right way of accessing to information especially that children in Bab El Tebbaneh and mainly working children considers computer, internet and technological games as an exit to their situation. There are 25 recreational sessions for each club through the overall project's life.
