On the occasion of Lebanon's National Day, which also marked the 30th anniversary of the start of the war in Lebanon on the 13th April 1975, the World Bank and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) organized a big event at the Biel Center, under the name: 'Lebanon Development Marketplace 2005 - Harvesting Youth and Community Ideas for a Better Environment'.

The programs included a exhibition on eco-tourism, nature reserves and rural produce, an LDM 2005 award ceremony, 'Ozone' plays performed by children, environmental songs, folk dance, an environmental quiz and prizes.

RMF participated in the event by setting up a stand in partnership with the Cooperative Housing Foundation (CHF) to present its agricultural development projects.

On the occasion RMF offered all visitors Lebanese apples wrapped in the colors of the Lebanese flag.
