Summary: |
The event was organized by the RMF in collaboration with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, and was animated by Mrs Claria Moawad. The guest debaters were Mr. Bassam Abou Zeid from LBCI, Mrs Hoda Chedid from the 'Voice of Lebanon' and 'Al Nahar' newspaper, and Mr. Saad Elias from the 'Voice of Lebanon ' and 'Sada Al Balad' newspaper. The majority of the 50 participants were university students and political activists. The debaters talked about their experiences and focused on the role of the media in promoting democratic awareness and changes while reporting facts accurately and commenting on it objectively. The second part of the event was open to the audience for questions and answers and there was a lively exchange of views between all. The event was organized by Tony Chedid from the RMF. |
