Summary: |
This training for trainers workshop was organized by the RMF in partnership with Club des Etudiants. It was attended by 9 young men and women participants from the Chouf, Beirut, and North Lebanon, and was conducted by Miss Damia Mouawad from RMF and Mr. Christophe Politis. The agenda included interactive activities to introduce the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, and discussions around citizenship and gender issues. This workshop was part of the Raising Awareness on Human Rights and Democracy among Youth project being implemented by the RMF and Club des Etudiants to raise awareness among youth on human rights, citizenship, and democracy through the creation of REACT (Rights Education and Awareness for Children and Teens) clubs in schools throughout Lebanon . This project is one of the 16 projects forming the Afkar program that is funded by the European Union and administered by the Office of the Ministry of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR). |
