Summary: |
The full-day workshop was held in partnership with Club des Etudiants. It was attended by participants from the Chouf, Beirut, and North Lebanon who learnt, through interactive group activities, about the different components and characteristics of a group, what makes a good facilitator, techniques of group facilitation, and how to create a year-long lesson plan. The workshop follows a previous training of trainers workshop on the principles and mechanisms of human rights and completes the training received by the facilitators of human rights clubs in schools throughout Lebanon under the Raising Awareness on Human Rights and Democracy among Youth project. This project creates REACT (Rights Education and Awareness for Children and Teens) clubs in schools as a means of communicating the principles of human rights and democracy to youth throughout the country. It is one of 16 projects that form the Afkar program that is funded by the European Union and administered by the Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR). |
