Each year the 'Mission Culturelle Française' of the French Embassy in Lebanon organises the book exhibition 'Lire en français et en musique'.
In 2005 the '14è Salon Francophone du livre, du disque et du multimédia', is held in BIEL between 10 and 18 November. RMF participated in the last two days of the exhibition, on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 November, by animating activities. These activity were held in collaboration with Tamyras. Tamyras are publishers that are promoting a new book on children's rights called 'Tous les enfants ont des droits'. RMF animated activities to help promote this book among children. A REACT facilitator worked with 4 groups of 30 students each, on the topic of Human Rights. Each group was asked to actively participate in a brainstorming debate on "what are Human Rights?" At the end of the debate, the children worked jointly to create a board made of glued photos, drawings, illustrations etc. Each student was given interactive brochures on children's rights as a souvenir of the activity. |
