Eng. Roland Andary represented RMF during the conference which was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and the FAO organization.

The program of the four-day workshop was divided as follows:

- On April 24, a total number of 25 participants attended the 1st day workshop carried-out by Dr. Raffaele Del Cima on: 'IPM/Olive Growing Training Course'. The main points discussed dealt with olive growing areas, product demand and technical guidelines for the establishment of intensive and traditional orchards (tree spacing, soil type, fertilization, weed control, pruning, pest and diseases control).

- On April 25, field visits were conducted to olive orchards in Hasbaya and Koura in order to inspect the methods of disease control adopted by the olive growers.

- On April 27, field visits were conducted to olive orchards in Koura and to the olive mill and the bottling line in Kfifan.

- The evaluation of the workshop was held by the participants on April 28.
