Summary: |
Under the ACCESS-MENA project, a training of facilitators for the awareness sessions with the children was held on April 30 2006. It was organized as part of the Awareness output part of the project, that aims at raising the awareness of the working children and the children at risk of dropping out of school. The objective was to train facilitators in working with these categories of children, to raise their knowledge on the children's rights and especially their right to education. 19 facilitators from different backgrounds were present at the workshop, and different information and documents were handed over on the participatory techniques, children's rights convention and the characteristics of childhood and adolescence. The training included a presentation on the Children's Rights Convention (CRC), a guidance for session delivery, a photo language session and a role play session. |
