The three workshops were held over three weekends: On 20-22 January for the South region, on 28-30 January for Beirut, and on 3-5 February for the North. They were organized as part of the ACCESS-MENA Project as part of the Awareness output that aims at raising the awareness of the parents of the working children or at risk of dropping out of school.

The objective of the workshops was to train trainers in order to work with the parents of working children or at risk of dropping out of school in order to raise their knowledge on the importance and benefits of education and about the dangers of work of children in addition to children's rights and the international conventions.

The workshops were conducted by Mr. Jean Makhoul. Numerous documents were handed to the participants about the children's rights, methods to work with the parents, the ILO conventions and the HCC book of children's rights.

A total of 78 participants took part in the workshops. They were from the Ministry of Social Affairs centers and various NGOs in the regions. In the south region workshop there were 14 participants. In the Beirut region workshop, 28 participants. And in the North region workshop, 31 participants.

The program included the following topics:
- The International Convention on the Rights of the Child and the child right to education as well as relevant International Labor Organization conventions. - The cooperation along with parents to eradicate Child Labor.
- Training and basic life skills.

The daily sessions started every day at 9 am and ended at 7 pm. All the topics discussed were undertaken through participative and active techniques such as group work, PowerPoint presentations, brainstorming, games and role play.
