These four trainings, conducted by Ms. Cynthia Farhat on the dates shown below, were part of the CoopNet project.

The objective was to help women acquire an analytical approach to food safety when preparing food, by looking at each step performed and making the necessary corrections before they engage in any hazardous action. The presentations on HACCP principles were followed by practical sessions where the women's food handling techniques and approached were carefully examined and corrected.

For North Lebanon:
The training was conducted on 30th January at the RMF's Youth Community Center premises in Mejdlaya. 20 women participated in the training. They represented the following 5 cooperatives from the North: The Cooperative for Cultural and Social Development (Ain Yaacoub), the Cooperative for Rural Development (Halba), the Women Agro-food Processing Cooperative (Bibnine), the Cooperative Association for Agricultural and Animal production (Basatine Al Assi), and the Cooperative Association for Processing Agricultural Products (Akkar Al Atika).

For Mount Lebanon:
The training was conducted on 9th February at the RMF's premises, Ashrafieh. 16 women participated in the training. They represented the following 5 cooperatives from Mount Lebanon: The Arsoun Welfare Association, the Association For Forest Development and Conservation, the Progressive Women Union, the Cooperative Association for Fruits and Vegetables Farmers, and the Liban Village cooperative.

For the Bekaa:
The training was conducted on 23rd February at Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Zahlé - Zahlé. 27 women participated in the training. They represented the following 8 cooperatives from the Bekaa: Nijmet Assoboh - Muhaidseh Agrofood and Craft Cooperative, the Wadi Al Araych Agro-food and Distribution Cooperative, the Mansoura Zouadet Al Baydar cooperative, the Deir Al Ahmar Women Association, Young Rural Association (Al Ain), the Irsal Rural Foodstuff Cooperative, the Cooperative Production Association of Rural Women in Fourzol, and the Tayyibat Association.

For the South:
The training was conducted on 24th February at the Women Progressive Association Center in Nabatiyeh. 21 women participated in the training. They represented the following 4 cooperatives from the South: Ahlouna, the Women Progressive Association, the Cooperative Association for Agro-food Processing, and the Agricultural Cooperative for Planting and Processing Medicinal Plants.
