The 4-day workshop was part of the ACCESS-MENA project and was held at the Madisson Hotel in Jounieh.

The participants were 55 remedial teachers from all the partners NGOs and from the public schools, directly implementing the classes with the children in the centers.

The goals of the workshop were:
a) to raise the educational knowledge of the remedial teachers concerning the active learning methods, preparing a lesson, setting restricted objectives for each lesson, and solving the educational constraints they face in the remedial sessions.
b) to bring out suggestions and recommendations on how can be dealt with remedial classes.

The participants were divided into two working groups and were trained respectively by Mr. Hanna Awkar, Mr. Ibrahim Nader and Mr. Jamil Tabet who are trainers from the CERD. By the end of the 4 days a list of recommendations came out from the suggestions that were given by the trainees, and the participants were given training documents.
