The project being inaugurated is part of the ROSS Program of the Italian Cooperation and aims at improving the quality of production and market access of agricultural cooperatives in agro-food sector in the Bekaa Valley.
Mrs. Petra Akoury, field coordinator of the project, was the presenter.
The speakers included Mr. Leonardo Niccolai, technical officer in ROSS emergency program, Mr. Nabil Mouawad, manager of the agricultural sector in RMF, Mrs. Fatima Dabbous, President of the Union of Production and Artisanal Cooperatives in Bekaa and neighboring villages, Mr. Sobhi El Khouri, President of the union of agricultural cooperatives in Deir El Ahmar and neighboring villages and Mr.Carlos Nakad, project manager.
The concluding speech was by His Sovereignty Semaan Atallah, archbishop of Baalbeck-Hermel bishopric.
