Awareness and Recreational Activities for the Children (ACCESS)

These activities were part of the ACCESS-MENA project. The purpose of these activities was to implement awareness sessions with the children enrolled in all the sessions of the project, about their rights, accepting differences, health, nutrition.. The beneficiaries were all the children enrolled in the ACCESS-MENA programs. More than 6000 children received awareness sessions. They were implemented on a weekly basis and different subjects were discussed such as: Children’s rights conventions, Children’s rights to education and its importance, personal hygiene, smoking, how to write a CV and prepare ourselves for the job (AVT only), worst forms of child labor, communication, dental hygiene, conflict resolution, adolescence, Lebanese labor law, the participation between parents and children, the 5 senses, violence, right to protection from hard work and positive thinking. As for the recreational activities, more than 7000 children received weekly recreational activities that were implemented by the recreational team on the field. Several activities were prepared and done such as: social animation games, dram therapy exercises, physical education exercises, arts and crafts, dancing, theatre…. |
