It was the first time that a benefit gala dinner was held in Houston -following the traditions of past galas in Washington DC and Miami.

The event was attended by 250 personalities.

Dr. William Zoghbi was the master of ceremonies and the welcome remarks were given by Mr. Abdo Sabban, President of RMF-USA.

H.E. Mrs Nayla Moawad, RMF Founder & Lebanese Minister of Social Affairs, gave the keynote address.

A distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award was presented by Ms. Lina jazi to Congressman Darrell Issa, and a distinguished Community Service Award was presented by Dr. George Nassar to Mr. Monzer Hourani, CEO, Medistar Corporation.

Then, Mr. Hourani presented Mrs. Moawad with a crystal dove as a symbol of Peace.

The evening also featured a fashion show by Jean Fares, a famous Lebanese designer who showcasted his latest collection.

Proceeds of the event will go towards fulfilling the Foundation's Youth Development projects.
