January - March 2008
Recreational Activities- Social Animation and Interactive Sessions (ACCESS)
Summary:

The activities were part of the ACCESS-MENA project.

The goal of these activities is to provide children with time to play and have fun while assimilating topics of awareness through games, activities and amusement.

The beneficiaries were children from Beirut, Saida, Tripoli and Akkar, recruited in the Accelerated Vocational training, literacy training, and remedial classes for ACCESS-MENA.

These various recreational activities were delivered to children in Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar, and Saida. The sessions were scheduled right after the awareness sessions in order to emphasize topics of awareness sessions. Games and fun activities were organized, illustrating matters and principles instructed during the awareness session, such as children’s rights, the importance of education, self esteem, confidence and positive thinking.

Most of the recreational activities started at 9 AM and finished by 3:30 PM on the same day, including Olympic Games, sports, D.J., computer games and dancing.

Transportation, meals, and drinks were provided for the beneficiaries.
