The event was part of the ACCESS-MENA project.

The goals of the 2-day workshop were to train social workers on how to efficiently communicate with employers of working children, and to deliver the message of the project. Moreover, a plan with the team of each region on how to approach employer of working children, was set.  

All social workers part of ACCESS-MENA project and partner NGOs benefited from the training.

The workshop was prepared and given by Mr. Jean Makhoul. During the workshop, the team of each region worked in groups and developed a plan for reaching the target of employers and delivering the message of the importance of education and sending children to accelerated vocational trainings. These plans were presented and discussed in front of the trainer and with the rest of ACCESS-MENA team.

Furthermore, the consultant presented the previously prepared evaluation sheet to discuss it with the social workers and consider their view points with regards to changing, adjusting or deleting any of the questions. These evaluation forms are to be filled out by the employers, with the help of the team members, to assess their knowledge, attitudes, and behavior regarding children education.
