RMF’s annual summer Ehden dinner was held on Friday 25th July 2008, at the Ehden Country Club.

Around 1300 person attended the event. Amongst those present were Mrs. Nayla Moawad, Mr. Michel Moawad, MP Jawad Boulos, Me Youssef Douweihy, Mr Fady Yarak, General director of the Ministry of Education and mayors and municipalities representatives from the Zgharta caza. Also present were economical, educational, cultural, religious personalities from the Zgharta-Zawye. The guest speaker was Dr. Marwan Almawi.

The money raised was dedicated for programmes aiming at taking those in need out of poverty, providing basic healthcare and literacy, enabling them to gain employment and to maximize their potential.

On the occasion special prizes were presented to Mrs. Laura Chalhoub for her humanitarian benevolent activities, to the family of reknown late thinker and poet Assad Al Sabaali, and to the student Violette Saroufine who achieved the top ranking in Lebanon in the BAC Francais.

The dinner starts at 9 p.m. and guests were serenaded by international singing star, Amal Hejazi, Star Academy 2006 Winner, Joseph Attieh and local singer, Maria Doueihy.
