Description
The Emergency Health project consists of an integrated set of activities aimed at supporting people in Bab Al Tebbaneh region who have been affected by the latest conflict in the North through improving psycho-social environment and health situation of targeted group
Objectives
Aware the community on the importance of healthy food
Support children affected by the war by psycho-social assistance
Offer advanced medical check –up and treatment to 300 children.
RMF Activities
As part of the project, RMF launched an advanced medical check up and awareness campaign in Bab Al Tebbaneh region in Nour Al Moustakbal School and the Center for Working Children.
Since good health and well-being are needed to achieve students' full educational potential, the activities were as follows:
Advanced Medical check-ups targeting 300 children. This check –up includes offering direct treatment if needed or referral to a dentist or ophthalmologist in addition to blood and urine tests
Awareness raising sessions on nutrition and dental hygiene are being conducted targeting 300 children
Awareness raising sessions on the importance of healthy eating were conducted for 300 parents. The sessions were followed by distributing nutrition kit on the participants for encouraging them to follow the food guide pyramid.
