Public Health Prevention Programs and Awareness Campaigns
Since the creation of the RMF in 1991, campaigns to increase public awareness and education on health related issues in the regions of North Lebanon have covered the following:
Prevention of drug addiction, AIDS and tuberculosis in collaboration with UNICEF, WHO and the Lebanese Ministry for Health.
Vaccination campaigns against infectious and contagious diseases in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry for Health. These campaigns are carried out each year reaching about 4,000 beneficiaries.
Vaccination and prevention campaigns for breast cancer.

Awareness campaigns on personal and dental hygiene in primary schools, in partnership with the department of Dental Medicine of the Lebanese University. In 2003 this campaign was carried out with the 'Ajialouna' association covering 33 public and private schools (7-10 years old). It stressed the importance of dental hygiene, demonstrated proper brushing of teeth and distributed dental kits: toothbrush, toothpaste, brochures etc. The same campaign is to be repeated in 2005 for 35 schools.
Awareness campaigns on osteoporosis, done for the first time in 3 phases, at the Community Clinic, in March, April and May 2005.
