Education and Human Development

Education and human development is one of the primary pillars of the Rene Moawad Foundation’s platforms of change and improvement, because RMF believes it is the key for the advancement of any country and society.
In order to address the educationally specific challenges that Lebanon faces, RMF has striven to implement projects that are geared towards education at all levels, from pre-school all the way to advanced technical and vocational degrees. Specific activities include components such as:

  • Literacy classes
  • Remedial education
  • Psychosocial support,
  • Life-skills
  • Extra-curricular activities
  • Vocational and Technical Education.

Proof of RMF’s dedication towards education can be found in the cultivation of the fixed educational centers that are of core importance to RMF. These include The Center for Education and Protection, which is located in Bab El Tebbeneh, the Institute Technique Rene Moawad, and the Etoile Du Nord Nursery.
Towards the human development component, RMF’s work is focused on the enhancement of human rights and democracy, in particular, geared towards women and youth. Activities in this realm include:

  • Awareness raising sessions
  • Interactive workshops
  • Community Outreach

All of RMF’s educational and human development projects are implemented through our fixed operations, and through donor-funded projects.
